Venus Retrograde, Life Cycles, and a New Book Journey – Join Me!

Venus is shining brilliantly in the sky right now, and as we enter its retrograde period from March 1st to April 12th, it’s the perfect time to reflect, reassess, and dive deep into themes of relationships, creativity, and personal transformation. Venus, the goddess of love, influences not just romantic connections but all relationships—friendships, community ties, and even our relationship with ourselves and the art we create.

This Venus retrograde is particularly powerful because Venus is in Pisces, the sign of its exaltation, meaning it’s at its most influential. Simultaneously, Jupiter is in Taurus, amplifying growth, expansion, and opportunity. If you’ve been feeling a shift or a call toward something bigger, this could be why. Jupiter magnifies whatever it touches, so this period might push us to expand our relationships, values, and creative expression in significant ways.

Venus and the Power of 40 Days

Venus moves through a powerful 40-day retrograde cycle, which immediately reminded me of something else: the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness seeking guidance. Across cultures, this 40-day period appears in spiritual and transformational journeys—similar to the vision quests of Indigenous tribes, where a person steps away from the world to seek clarity and purpose.

Venus also follows a 9-month cycle as a morning star and another 9 months as an evening star, which mirrors the amount of time it takes to create new life. Over an 8-year cycle, Venus moves in patterns that form a pentagram. This made me wonder—do these five points correlate with major themes or transitions in our lives?

### Looking Back: The Venus Cycle and Life Patterns

If Venus moves in 8-year cycles, then key years for reflection include:

- 2017

- 2009

- 2001

I took some time to reflect on these years in my own life, writing down what I was doing during those cycles. While each phase started with different activities, I noticed a common thread: each time, I was in the beginning stages of a major transformation.

🔹 2017: Preparing to move, organizing everything, fixing up our house, and ultimately doubling our family income. I was also diving deep into learning about environmental toxins and making major lifestyle shifts.

🔹 2009: Settling into my teaching career, gaining stability, and starting my master’s degree.

🔹 2001: Discovering my passion for archaeology and anthropology while working toward my bachelor’s degree.

Every one of these cycles has begun with learning something new, discovering a passion, and building upon it—all leading to a greater transformation.

Now, in 2025, I feel myself entering another significant shift. I’ve been focused on getting more structured and organized, working to build something meaningful with this channel and our small family business. I’ve rekindled my love for reading, history, archaeology, astrology, and all things spiritual. I have several creative projects in the works, and my goal is clear: to create multiple streams of income so that our family has the freedom to pursue opportunities and support others in meaningful ways.

I want to be in a position where we can travel, learn, and experience new cultures, support artists, tip generously, and give back to the world when the moment calls for it.

The Christ Letters – A Perfect Book for This Moment

As I was reflecting on Venus’s 40-day retrograde period, I couldn’t help but think about a book I’ve been meaning to read:

The Christ Letters: Christ Returns, Speaks His Truth (Expanded Edition).

I’ve had so many questions about spirituality, religion, and historical interpretations of Jesus’s teachings for years:

❓ Why does so much of Jesus’ life remain undocumented?

❓ Why were certain texts left out of the Bible?

❓ Why do people pick and choose which teachings to follow based on convenience?

❓ Why do different religions have such similar teachings, yet many refuse to acknowledge the parallels?

I’ve put off reading this book, partly because I feel like once I do, I won’t be able to "unknow" what I learn—like it will fundamentally shift my understanding of truth. But now, with Venus beginning a new cycle and guiding us to reevaluate relationships, creativity, and spiritual connections, I know this is the right time to dive in.
